Now it's common sense to know not to enter the field of play during all sporting events. Not only is it clearly stated before and during almost all events, there are usually signs posted along the fence separating the public seating area, from the field itself.
So with that said, we seem to have an epidemic of this in Philly. Alright, so epidemic is a strong word; however, when was the last time this happened in a baseball game two nights in a row? Now football is a different story, as is many other events. Baseball fans for some reason... are just more passive and less likely to pull these shenanigans, in my opinion.
Seeing this brought me back to the time a few years ago when a "drunken" Yankee fan vaulted over the railing and onto the screen behind home plate.
I also remember vividly attending a Triple-A ballgame down south where, during a rain delay, a college student and his buddy decided it'd be a good idea to use the tarp as a naked slip and slide.
What I found most amusing about this story, is the fact this kid literally texted his dad in the beginning of the game to ask for permission. Not wanting his son to, well, get tazered, the father quickly asked one of the son's friends to talk him out of it. Which, as we can tell... failed.
For anyone who hasn't seen the picture of this kid pre-tazer, check it out up top, it is a great picture if I say so myself.
So now that I have given you my ramblings, I'll let you go with a moral:
Stupidity + Tazer Hungry Cop = Pain and national news coverage
